RIGHT, a History of Innovation in Science

A Passion for Science

RIGHT has always been committed to advancing innovative and impactful scientific research, focusing on the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. Founded in 1994 by NIH researchers Julianna Lisziewicz and Franco Lori, RIGHT has built a legacy of groundbreaking contributions to medical science, securing international funding, publishing extensively, and playing a key role in the global response to major health challenges.

HISTORY

In 1994, Research Institute for Genetic and Human Therapy, Inc. (RIGHT) was founded by two researchers from the National Institute for Health (NIH), Julianna Lisziewicz and Franco Lori
Over its 20 year history, RIGHT has received over 20 Million Dollars in grants from the United States, Italy and the European Union. RIGHT has presented numerous studies at international conferences and has published nearly one hundred scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals
From its inception, RIGHT has been devoted to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics that combine the latest knowledge with innovative designs and state-of-the-art delivery systems
Franco Lori as Scientific Director of RIGHT received the important recognition "Hero in Medicine" by the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care (IAPAC), acknowledging RIGHT's role in the development of the first organized US and international response to the AIDS pandemic
Throughout the years, RIGHT's basic research activities have been conducted through the RIGHT research facilities in the 270 Technology Corridor in Maryland, Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and in Pavia, Italy at IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo
